Who invented the incandescent lamp?

More than 22 inventors of incandescent lamps were trying to fill the market prior to Thomas Edison and Joseph Wilson Swan .

However was Thomas Edison who won this competition. Beside other important factors such as incandescent material use, higher vacuum and high resistance lamp cited by several historians, the more important element in the Edison equation was his System Thinking approach to this  innovation.
